For those who are unfamiliar with these options, let me go over them briefly with you.

Assessment Letters
These are a cheaper way to gain feedback on the characters and overall structure of the story.  Think of it like the fast food of developmental editing: you get your fill, but it's not going to taste gourmet.  In an assessment letter, I'll broadly address major issues and make suggestions.  I will also mention copy editing mistakes, should there be an abundance of repetitive infractions; however, just remember that these will not be tackled in detail here.  For that, try my copy editing service.

Sample Editing — $100 flat rate
This is a brief edit of the first 2,500 words of your story as a way to see what it will be like to work with me without the cost of a full round of editing.  With this option, you will get a sample of both my developmental and copy editing styles.  (You can click HERE for a sample of this with my own work.  I would still recommend a sample edit to see how we mesh, because each author and their story is different.)

Developmental Editing
Here's where things get deep.  Some of the matters covered in a developmental edit are:

Included with a developmental edit is an assessment letter.

Copy Editing
This is where I comb line-by-line through your story in search of errors, such as:
- Clarity
- Consistency
- Formatting

Lastly, I offer a bundle for developmental and copy editing, which means it also comes with an assessment letter.  This is the most in-depth editing service I offer, and it comes at a discount than if you were to purchase the developmental and copy editing separately.
